A GIF is an animated image format that can be added to emails and webpages. You can do this by inserting an external URL or uploading the GIF file to the Assets Manager. However, it's important to remember:
- Compatibility: Not all email clients support GIFs. Some may only display the first frame.
- Size Matters: Large GIFs can increase load times, impacting user experience.
- Avoid Spam Filters: Too many GIFs or large files may trigger spam filters.
How to Insert a GIF
- Open the Channels module and select the content you wish to add your GIF to (i.g., Email, Print, Web Page or Advisor Page).
- Click on the editable field in the Content Block where you want to insert the GIF.
- Click over Block styling on the right side panel and scroll down to Content.
- Click on the pencil icon to Change the Image—a pop-up will appear so you can edit the image.
- Select Image from Assets or External Image in the Image source menu.
- If you choose External Image, insert the URL in the External image path field.
- If you choose Image from Assets, navigate to the GIF you want to insert and click on it.
- Remember to Save your email so you don't lose any of the changes.
Now, you've inserted your GIF and your communication is ready for testing 🎉
