Once you’ve finished working on a campaign, you’ll need to publish it to push it live. This means that your work will be transferred from Staging to the Production environment.
The Publish module is where you can adjust your publishing settings and view the Publish Log. This module only exists on the Staging environment.
To access the Publish module, hover over the 'Publish' button in the top bar and then select ‘More publishing options and logs’.
Publish Types
There are several Publish types in Agillic, giving you control over which items go live when you publish.
Full Publish
A Full Publish synchronises all data, regardless of whether you’ve made any changes. This means that all campaigns will be pushed live if you execute a Full Publish.
To execute a Full Publish, go into the Publishing Module. On the left side of the screen, select which environment you would like to publish to and then select 'Full' under the 'Publish Type' dropdown menu. Finally, select 'Publish'.
We recommend a Full Publish occasionally, to ensure full synchronisation and stability.
Changes Publish
This is the default publish type in Agillic. A Changes Publish synchronises all changes made since the last publish.
It’s triggered by hovering over the 'Publish' button in the top bar and selecting either 'Publish to Staging' or 'Publish to Production'. Alternatively, you can follow the same process as a Full Publish, only select 'Changes Publish' under the 'Publish Type' dropdown menu.
Partial Publish (only available when publishing to Production)
A Partial Publish presents you with a list of items with changes made since the last publish to Production. You can select the specific items you wish to publish to Production.
This sort of publish is useful when you want to synchronise the updates you made to a specific email, but don't wish to include any additional changes made in the meantime.

Other Information About Publishing
Lock Publish
You can also lock publishing to prevent unwanted updates being published. You can lock each environment separately if you wish. When you lock a publish, you can leave a comment in the 'Note' field. This can be useful if you have several configurators working in Agillic at the same time.
When publishing is locked, a small padlock icon appears on the 'Publish' button in the top bar. If you hover over the 'Publish' button, you can see which environment is locked as a padlock also appears on either the 'Publish to Staging' or 'Publish to Production' button.
Publish Log
You can also view the Publish Log in the Publishing Module. This is where you can find information on previous publishes, such as the username of the publisher, when the publish was made, and what the result of the publish was.
Publish Button Icons
Small icons appear on the 'Publish' button if a Publish is in process. Different icons signify different stages of a Publish.
Spinner - If you initiated a Publish, a spinner appears on the 'Publish' button to show that the Publish is in progress.
Tick - A tick appears if the Publish has been successful.
Warning exclamation mark - If a Publish has been unsuccessful, a warning icon appears on the 'Publish' button. This only disappears once a successful Publish takes place. The successful Publish must occur in the environment the failed Publish occurred in.
Dot - If a different user is currently publishing, a small dot appears on the 'Publish' button.
Padlock - If someone locks publishing, a Padlock appears on the 'Publish' button.
