Agillic 20.1 is here and we’re proud to share it with you! With our latest release, we’re drastically upgrading the overall user experience by bringing you the first edition of our new, smooth, and intuitive Assets Manager. It provides you with the ability to utilise, manage, and organise all visual assets in an effortless and efficient way. On top of improved UX, the publishing speed has also had a major boost! Enjoy :-)
With this release, we're also introducing a brand new channel: Transactional Emails. We built this channel – running on dedicated transactional email servers – to offer you the possibility to simplify your ESP vendor setup. It also makes it easy for you to align your email communication operations while realizing the benefits of synergies between your promotional and transactional email messaging.
With 20.1, we've also improved the Agillic Customer Marketing Platform’s connectivity capabilities. To do this, we've introduced both our Contextual Triggering API functionality as well as the flexible Extensions API endpoints to trigger JavaScript Extensions. These can be used, for example, to automate dataflows from your Google or Facebook lead generation campaigns.
Agillic 20.1 in details
With the new Agillic Assets Manager, we’re very excited to introduce to you a brand new and improved way to work with assets within the platform. With this first-of-many Agillic Assets Manager release, you will experience a smooth and efficient method for working with assets. You’ll experience a vastly improved visualisation of images through thumbnails and navigation for easy browsing, and you’ll be able to quickly see detailed information about image size, links, references, and other metadata together. This also comes with an improved ability to organise and reorganise media assets through content tree updates, multi-select, and a consistent drag-and-drop functionality. All of this is, of course, wrapped in a cool new interface for you to enjoy.
This improved way of working with assets also comes with major performance improvements as we’ve upgraded our backend architecture hosting these images. So, get ready to enjoy a new, smooth, and speedy way of working with assets.
Introducing a brand new channel (Transactional Emails)
Want to use Agillic for sending order confirmations, shipping info, password resets, or registration confirmations? In other words, if you want to utilise the Agillic Customer Marketing platform for communication to recipients without marketing permission while being GDPR compliant and not interfering with your permissions, unsubscribes, and complaints, now you can. At Agillic, we have now expanded our efficient and high-reputation email server infrastructure to include transactional email sending. This expansion is for clients wishing to benefit from unified reporting and overview, stronger branding, and personalisation of order confirmations among other types of transactional emails.
Our transactional email setup supports all the email functionality you're used to for creating, testing, and sending marketing emails, plus APIs for superfast data transfer.
With a clear separation of sender domains, Agillic can now manage permissions, bounces, complaints, feedback loops, and reporting across the two email disciplines.
Enhanced API capabilities (Contextual Triggering)
To complement our transactional email setup, we've introduced a new way of achieving events in Agillic - with a Context, which is a recipient-specific data payload. Therefore, you can build content in both marketing and transactional Agillic emails as if it was a standard Agillic Data Model with the caveat that the data is not stored in Agillic. This simplifies implementing transactional emails communications with Agillic. Here's exactly what you do:
- Create an email in Agillic to display the relevant data, like you would normally.
- For each communication, gather the data you want to send in the Context payload.
- Trigger the event and payload with a single call to start the communication Flow.
You can read the API documentation for Contextual Triggering call by visiting our Developers Portal.
Facebook and Google Lead Ads (Extensions API Service, Http Extensions )
Are you running lead campaigns on, for example, Facebook or Google? Do you want to fully automate the transfer of your campaign activity directly to your Agillic instance to say, trigger a communication? With the release of Agillic 20.1, you can now call our Extensions API endpoint which triggers a JavaScript Http Extension. This extension reads the data present in the API call so it can create or update recipients. As an example, you could use this feature to create recipients with corresponding data-profiles in Agillic who come directly from an acquisition campaign that you're running on an external platform. Read more about this feature on our Developers Portal.
Furthermore, 20.1 also enables you to take advantage of the following cool features and improvements:
- Publish improvements, any upload to Agillic's Assets Manager is now automatically published - unless you are overwriting existing images - to both your Staging and Production environments.
- Domain Based Unsubscribe, if you have multiple verified domains in your instance, it's now possible to apply different event types for each different domain and allow custom changes of permissions for list unsubscribe.
- Reset complaint and hard bounce, with 20.1 we now offer more flexibility and possibilities for resetting complaints and hard bounces if needed. Adjusted reset and hard-bounce settings can now be archived via API, side-effects, and JS Extensions.
