We are pleased to introduce Link Reporting, a new feature designed to provide you with direct visibility into which URLs your recipients are clicking. While existing reporting has focused on general events, this update allows you to see the exact destinations that resonate most with your audience.
You can now access these insights through premade reports or activity exports, helping you to refine your content strategy with precision. Please note that Link Reporting is available on emails that were created (or updated) and sent after version 26.0.
Understanding Your Audience Through Link Reporting
Data-driven decision-making is at the heart of effective marketing. Until now, reporting on recipient clicks within the Agillic platform has primarily relied on "Events". While this provides a high-level view of engagement, the ability to report on the specific URL destination of those clicks is just as important.
The new Link Reporting feature addresses this need by providing clear, actionable data on exactly where your recipients go when they interact with your emails.
Key Benefits and Use Cases
This update is designed to simplify how you measure success and export data for external analysis:
For Marketers: You can now generate premade reports that display the most frequently clicked links within an email. This allows for a quick assessment of which articles, products, or calls-to-action are performing best.
For Analysts: You have the ability to export a comprehensive list of clicked URLs as part of an Activity Export. This raw data is ideal for deeper analysis in external tools without any automatic cleaning or modification.
Sophisticated Data Presentation
To ensure the information is both readable and accurate, the Reporting UI includes several intelligent features:
Aggregated Views: If a link contains dynamic content fields, the report will display an aggregated version of the URL. You can simply click to expand this view and see the individual non-aggregated variants.
Internal vs. External Links: To help you distinguish between your various resources, internal links (such as those leading to Agillic pages or attachments) are clearly labelled by their item name.
Clean Reporting: To keep your reports focused on relevant data, specific internal parameters are automatically excluded from the Reporter and Activity Export views.
Performance Focused: The Reporter UI is optimised to display the top 10 most clicked links, sorted in descending order, ensuring you see your most impactful content first.
