All Agillic customers are provided with a Staging and a Production instance. The URLs are as follows:
- To log in to Staging, the link is https://[NAME]-stag.agillic.eu/agillicadmin
- To log in to Production, the link is https://[NAME]-prod.agillic.eu/agillicadmin
For this reason, the instances are often referred to as 'Stag' and 'Prod'.
What is Staging in Agillic?
Staging is where you complete your configurations in Agillic. This includes creating your content, such as emails, setting up your Web- or Advisor Portal pages, setting up Target Groups, and where you test your configurations.
As the Staging environment is intended for content creation, the modules 'Content' and 'Publish' only appear on the Staging environment. Staging is also the place where you set up the configuration for executing campaigns to your live recipients.
It's important to remember, Staging should only ever contain test recipients and never live recipients. Live recipients only exist in Production. Once you've tested your configurations and set up, you will then need to publish to Production to go live.
What is Production in Agillic?
Production is where you report on an executed campaign, manually execute a campaign, and where you investigate your live recipients. Production is where your live recipients' data is stored and where you can do manual adjustments to your recipients.
It's important to ensure that your data and configuration between Staging and Production is consistent. Therefore, it's recommended that you make changes on Staging and publish to Production.
