You can link two recipients together based on a matching email address or mobile number by creating a Person to Person Lookup. This makes it possible to, for example, show a specific contact person's contact information in a recipient's email if the contact person shares an email address with the recipient.
First, create the Person to Person Lookup and configure it. Then, you insert it where you want to use it, such as in a Person to Person Lookup Block.
How to Create the Person to Person Lookup
- Open the Data module.
- Select 'Data Lookups' from the left sidebar.
- Open the 'Lookups' folder, also from the left sidebar.
- Click the 'Create' button in the 'Folders' toolbar.
- Select 'New Person to Person - Lookup'. A new Person to Person Lookup will show up in the work area to the right.
- Fill in a name for your Person to Person lookup in the 'Name' field.
- Click the 'Save' button.
Now, you've created your Person to Person Lookup and it's ready for configuration.
How to Configure the Person to Person Lookup
- Open the 'Lookup' section.
- Fill in a name for your parent Lookup.
- Select a unique Person Data to use as a key, such as EMAIL, MOBILE, or MEMBERID. Remember, you can only use indexed Person Data. Read more about how to index Person Data here. You can add more than one Person Data as the key by clicking the Plus icon.
- Fill in a name for your child Lookup.
- Select a Person Data to lookup its parent based on, for example, CONTACTPERSON_EMAIL, CONTACTPERSON_MOBILE, and so on.
- Click the 'Save' button.
Now, you've configured your Person to Person Lookup and it's ready to use when creating a Condition, in an Export Template, or when inserting a Person to Person Lookup Block.
