Person Data is data that’s specific to each recipient such as their first name, email address, date of birth, or favourite product.
Person Data is only ever a single value. If there's more than one value, such as a recipient’s recent purchases, then it's classified as One-to-Many data instead.
When working with Person Data, you may need to clear the Person Data field for a single recipient or for a whole Target Group.
When clearing Person Data, you can either:
- Clear all Person Data for a Single Recipient
- Clear Specific Person Data for a Single Recipient
- Clear All Person Data for a Target Group
- Clear specific Person Data for a Target Group
When you clear Person Data for a recipient or Target Group, the Person Data field is not deleted, only the value is.
Clearing Person Data is useful when you have data stored that you no longer have a need for.
It's important to remember that Staging contains test recipients, while Production contains live recipients. Log into the correct environment before starting to clear data for your recipients.
