Testing a campaign is one of the most important things to do once you've finished creating it. If you test thoroughly, it ensures that your campaign will execute as intended, without Condition errors or errors in how the content appears to your recipient.
As is the case for all your outbound campaigns, you must use a Flow to start the send-out. For bigger campaigns, a Flow is often the catalyst for the campaign, allowing you to test the rest of your campaign once the initial Flow executes.
You can create Flows with different types of logic as Agillic has a series of different ways to test if your Flow is behaving as expected. No matter which way you want to test the Flow, you'll need one or more test recipients.

Test via Manual Execution
The most common way of testing a Flow is to apply a Target Group consisting of only your own test recipients and then manually execute the Flow on Staging.
You can find more information about how to manually execute a Flow here.

Test via Redirect
If you wish to test the Flow with multiple test recipients at the same time without sending the outbound communication to other recipients than yourself, we recommend that you use the redirect function. This allows you to redirect all the emails or SMSs from the Flow to a single inbox or phone, no matter what contact information the test recipient may have.

Test via Flow Investigator
In some cases, you may not want to add a Target Group with test recipients to your Flow. Instead, you can investigate the Flow with a single recipient and execute the Flow for this recipient. This technique also has the added benefit of skipping any waiting Steps in the Flow. This allows you to quickly test the Flow, without waiting the same amount of time as the recipient would.

Test with Auto-Generated Recipients
When testing a Flow, you can have Agillic auto-generate the recipients based on the settings of the Flow and on each step in the Flow. You can then use the auto-generated Test Target Group in the Flow to make sure you test every possible outcome of the Flow layout and Step settings.
