The 'Brands' feature enables you to assign 'Brands" to Verified Domains. When working with several Brands on an Agillic Instance, with a shared recipient base, this feature adds a layer of protection against accidental sendouts.
By defining a 'Brand' target group to be associated with the Verified Domain, you ensure that your communication is only sent to recipients of the desired brand.
In order to start working with Brands, we must configure a Target Group to be used for identifying recipients of the Brand.
Creating a (Brand) Target Group
First, consider which data point identifies a recipient as belonging to 'Brand A' rather than 'Brand B'? Perhaps you have a One-to-Many table named 'Subscriptions', which helps you tie the recipient to the specific brand.
- Navigate to the 'Data' module
- Open the 'Target Groups' panel
- Click Create new Target Group
- Configure the Target Group to isolate recipients of the relevant Brand

Once the Target Group has been created, you are now ready to create the Brand in the 'Settings' module.
Creating a Brand
- Navigate to the 'Settings' module
- Click Brands under 'System Settings'
- Click Add brand
- Fill in a 'Name' of the brand
- Select a Verified Domain from the drop-down
- Select a Target Group from the drop-down
- Click Save
Your brand has now been configured.

Creating A (Brand) Sendout
Once you have configured the brand in the Settings module, you are ready to configure your email campaign.
Select the 'Email from address' which matches the Brand Configuration under Settings. This ensures that recipients of this email must be part of that Target Group.
When you send the email via a Flow, Agillic will now evaluate whether the recipient is part of the Brand Target Group connected to the 'From email address', before sending the email.
Selecting the brand domain in the 'Channels' module
In the example below we have attempted to send an email to a recipient not belonging to the Brand Target Group. We therefore receive an error on the Email Step: 'The recipient is not a member of the brand specific Target Group required for email sending'.
Please note that on the Staging environment, you will not be blocked from sending emails to recipients outside the Brand Target Group.
