You may need to delete recipients on request from a customer or when you want to clean up inactive recipients. If you delete a recipient, it means that their recipient data, including Person Data, One-to-many data, and activity data, will be deleted as well.
It's important to remember that recipients on Staging are for testing, while recipients on Production are live recipients. Log in to the correct environment before starting to delete your recipients. Also, bear in mind that deleting a recipient is irreversible.

How to Delete a Single Recipient
- Log onto Staging if you want to delete test recipients or log onto Production if you want to delete live recipients.
- Open the Data module.
- Select 'Target Groups' from the left sidebar.
- Open the 'Target Groups' folder, also from the left sidebar.
- Navigate to an existing Target Group or create a new Target Group.
- Add Conditions that match the recipient you want to find. Learn how to create Conditions here. For example: All - Person Data - EMAIL - Equals - Mytestemail@Agilliccandy.com - Condition met.
- Click 'Save'.
- Click on the 'Recipients' subsection to fold out the recipients' overview.
- Click on the recipient you need to delete from the list.
- Click on the 'Delete Recipient' icon in the recipients' overview.
- A pop-up will appear. Click 'OK'.

How to Delete Multiple Recipients
When deleting multiple recipients, you can delete recipients based on a Target Group.
- Log onto Staging if you want to delete test recipients or log onto Production if you want to delete live recipients.
- Open the Data module.
- Select 'Target Groups' from the left sidebar.
- Open the 'Target Groups' folder, also from the left sidebar.
- Navigate to an existing Target Group or create a new Target Group.
- Add Conditions to your Target Group that match the recipient you want to delete. Learn how to create Conditions here.
- Click 'Save'.
- Click on your Target Group in the list of Target Groups.
- Click on the 'Population' icon in the Target Group toolbar.
- Choose Staging if you want to delete Staging recipients and Production if you want to delete Production recipients.
- A pop-up will appear with the number of recipients currently in your Target Group. Verify that the number is correct.

- Click on the 'Delete Population' icon in the top toolbar.
- A pop-up will appear. Choose 'Remove recipients from Facebook Custom Audiences' if you have Facebook connector set up and want to remove the recipients from the audiences as well.
- Click 'OK'.
- The recipients in your Target Group have now been deleted.
