Continuous Split Evaluation is a setting you have a Flow containing a Split Step. When you enable Continuous Split Evaluation, it evaluates your recipients against the branch of the Split Step the recipient went through.
For example, if you have a Flow with a Split Step which has two branches, your recipient might go into the first branch but then get kicked out of the Flow when they no longer meet the Conditions set on the first branch.
Continuous Split Evaluation can as an example be used within a Upsell flow. The recipient will enter one of the branches, where different emails will promote new or relevant products. For each new step within the branch, Continuous Split Evaluation will evaluate if the recipient still meet the Conditions set on the branch. In this case the condition could be that the recipient haven't purchased anything. The moment the recipient make a purchase the recipient will be removed from the branch and kicked from the flow.
To enable Continuous Split Evaluation, you need to click on your Split Step and then check the checkbox 'Continuous Split Evaluation'.
Continuous Split Evaluation Enabled
We advise that you only enable Continuous Split Evaluation if you're sure it benefits your Flow. Also, be careful when using time-based Conditions and Continuous Split Evaluation as the two are usually incompatible. Having multiple split steps with continuous split evaluation activated in one flow is possible.
