When sending emails through Agillic, you can attach various files and images to your email campaigns. These attachments serve different purposes, from compliance with legal requirements to personalized content delivery. Personalising attachments
Three out of four sources can be personalised to the recipient. External URL, which pulls an external resource into the email. Print, which is documents created through the Print channel, and PDF documents from a Promotion.
Images and Files from the Asset manager are just that, a single file from the Asset Manager. These will be generic files for all.
External URL
Before we dive into the details of email attachments, it is essential to ensure that your recipients receive the necessary documents attached to the email. Agillic offers several attachment options to help you accomplish this:
- External URL: Attach an externally hosted document and customize the file name to include recipient-specific information. For example, you can merge in the recipient's language to send a document in their local language.
- Print: Attach an Agillic Print file, configured in the Agillic Print channel, enabling full personalization of the entire
- Promotion: Attach documents created with a Promotion, Proposition, and Promotion field of the "PDF" type.
Understanding each Attachment Type

External URL
Use this attachment type to include externally hosted documents. Input the location of the external file in the provided field. Customize the file name to include recipient-specific details for personalized delivery.
Adding an external URL attachment
Attach Agillic Print files, which are configured in the Agillic Print channel. Leverage recipient data available in Agillic for full personalization of the document.
Promotion
To attach Promotion documents, ensure you've created and configured a Promotion, Proposition, and Promotion field with the "PDF" type.
Maximum file size
It is crucial to consider the file size when sending attachments. Any email with a combined file size exceeding 25 MB will fail to send. If you encounter issues related to the maximum attachment size, you'll need to investigate the email flow to resolve the problem.
