ℹ️ This article is specific to the New Agillic Content Designer. Information provided may not apply to previous versions of the Agillic Content Designer.
This guide is designed to assist you in creating and configuring web pages in a user-friendly manner. Whether you are new to the process or looking to optimize your web content, this article will guide you through essential steps and best practices.
Preparing for Web Page Setup
To begin, ensure you have the following essentials:
- A Web template with your brand guidelines (See Understanding Templates).
- A good naming convention for folders and work items. Make sure you know where your work is located so it’s easy to jump in and out of your work.
- Personalised content for your messages. You need to have some inspiring text and imagery in your emails to give your recipients a good experience with your brand. While not necessary, we highly recommend utilising the data you have on your recipients to heighten their experience (See Personalising content).
- Test recipients to test what the end result for your recipients will be. See How to Create a Test Recipient.
Creating a web page
This section outlines the step-by-step process of creating a web page:
- Navigate to Web under the Channels menu.
- Choose an existing folder or create a new one for your web page. Use the plus icon at the top of the content tree to create a new folder.
- Name your web page and select the template you wish to use.
- Click the Create Web Page button to initiate the content-building process.
Configuring Page Settings
Page settings are crucial for defining how your web pages function:
- Known Visitors: Configure your web page to utilize available data for a personalized experience when the page is accessed by known visitors—this is done by creating the page in the Known Visitors folder, or one of its subfolders.
- Unknown Visitors: Create pages for unknown visitors, often used as landing pages for data collection in your customer journeys—this is done by creating the page in the Unknown Visitors folder, or one of its subfolders.
- Additional Settings: Page Settings allow you to set the UTM Campaign name for Google Analytics and define the title displayed in the browser tab, as well as the URI (e.g. /newsletter-signup).
