Before you can start creating personalized emails in Agillic, it is essential to set up your email communication effectively. This guide will walk you through the necessary steps to ensure a seamless email campaign.
What You Need
To begin, ensure you have the following essentials:
- An email template with your brand guidelines (See Understanding Templates).
- A good naming convention for folders and work items. Make sure you know where your work is located so it’s easy to jump in and out of your work.
- You need a Sender name, Sender email address, and Reply-to email address. To ensure the best delivery rate it is required to have a "verified" Sender domain (See How to Add a Verified Domain to Agillic).
- Personalised content for your messages. You need to have some inspiring text and imagery in your emails to give your recipients a good experience with your brand. While not necessary, we highly recommend to utilise the data you have on your recipients to heighten their experience. (See Personalising content).
- Test recipients to test what the end result for your recipients will be (See How to Create a Test Recipient).
Creating an email
- Navigate to Email under Channels.
- Create or find a folder to create your email in and click the purple plus at the top of the content tree.
- Name your email and select the template you want to use (Sender information is not required at this stage).
- Hit Create Email and you can start building content for your email.
Email Configuration Settings
Either fill in Sender Information while you create the email or click the Email Settings in the right sidebar after the email has been created.
Note that this information is mandatory before executing a test. This is also where you can set up the UTM Campaign name for your Google Analytics.
To personalise your Sender Information, place your cursor in one of the input fields and hit the Dynamic Content icon located below.
