The Agillic Content Editor
The Agillic Content Editor is structured as follows:
- Folder and File Management: Located on the left side for easy organization.
- Content Settings: Found on the right, providing various customization options.
- Canvas: The central workspace for content creation.
- Additional Tools: Access Preview & Test, Language versioning, Add blocks, and Save options at the top of the canvas.
- For Emails: Configure the subject line and add attachments as a letterhead for the email.
Content Settings
Your ability to modify your content depends on where you place your cursor. Here's how it works:
- When you select (click inside) a block on the canvas, the right sidebar displays specific options for that block.
- When you deselect (click outside of) a block, the right sidebar shows your general template properties.
- The sidebar adapts to your context, ensuring you have the right tools readily available.
Adding Block Layouts to the Canvas
To insert a block into your content, follow these steps:
- Click Add Block at the top of the canvas to select a block from your options.
- Drag and drop a block onto the canvas by placing it in one of the designated green drop areas.
Designing Your Block Layout
Customize your block layout as needed with these steps:
1. Select the block by using the block handle.
2. Enable or disable block elements according to your design requirements.
3. Open the Block Styling with options to change the block design or content.
Writing and Formatting Copy
To create and format text within your content, proceed as follows:
- Place your cursor in an editable field with placeholder text.
- Write your desired copy.
- Adjust the look and feel of your copy using the formatting options found in the right sidebar.
Adding Supporting Imagery
You can incorporate images into your template in two ways:
- Locked Images: These are hardcoded into your block, with only the image path editable to prevent errors. They cannot be clicked or changed directly.
- Unlocked Images: These offer more control by allowing you to change image formatting such as width and height. Use of unlocked images can increase the margin for error in the final output.
To add an image:
1. Place the cursor in an editable area.
2. Add the image from the right sidebar.
3. Select your image and insert it.
4. To change or delete an unlocked image, click the image.
Create an Action
Links in your template can be created in two ways:
- Locked Links: These are hardcoded into your block, with only the URL editable to ensure code integrity.
- Unlocked Links: These are more flexible but come with an increased margin for error in the final output.
To add a link:
1. Place the cursor in an editable area.
2. Add a link from the right sidebar.
3. Select your link source and add it.
4. To change or delete an unlocked link, click the link.
