Pre-checking and testing your communication is a crucial step before you launch it to your recipients. This guide explains how to preview and test your communication to ensure it's error-free and ready for a flawless delivery.
Previewing Your Work
Before you hit the launch button on your communication, you can preview your work using test data from test recipients. This practice helps you avoid launching with unfinished work or errors.
Previewing your communication allows you to quickly verify that Dynamic Data is correctly merged and utilized, ensuring a seamless experience for your recipients.
You can preview your communication in desktop mode by default, but you also have the option to switch to the mobile view to see how your communication may appear on mobile devices.
Previewing Language Versions
Language versions can also be previewed with recipient data, ensuring that your content is accurately translated and culturally relevant.
Testing for the Best Experience
While previewing is essential, it's important to note that previews are not always a good design test. To get the exact same experience as your recipients, running tests is crucial. It's best to conduct tests with recipient data to verify both Dynamic Data and design.
Tests vary depending on the type of communication:
- Testing an email sends a test email to an email address you define.
- Testing a web page generates the web page in a new tab.
- Testing a print file generates a PDF.
Tests are a valuable way to include others in the testing process, as multiple email addresses can receive test emails, the URL for the web page can be shared with multiple people, and the PDF can also be distributed.
