Saving and reusing content is an efficient way to maintain consistent layouts and messages across all your communications. This guide explains how to save block layouts and text content, allowing centralised control and easy reuse.
Centralized Control with Master Versions
You can save block layouts and text content to a master version that provides centralised control. This central repository enables you to make changes to many versions of the saved master in one place. When you bring in a version of the master, editing is disabled by default, simplifying the editing process.
However, you can enable editing by detaching your version from the master. This action removes all links to the master and makes it a standalone layout or piece of content.
Library Blocks
When you save a block, you save both layout and content. These saved blocks are referred to as Library Blocks and can be conveniently managed from the Library.
Text Resources
Unlike Library Blocks, Text Resources contain only text content. To use Text Resources, you need to create them in the Text Resource section.
You can also upload either a ".txt" or ".html" file to WebDAV to create a Text Resource. The file extension depends on the type of Text Resource you want. Rich Text Resources are suitable for Emails and Web Pages, while Plain Text Resources are suitable for SMS and App Push, as they don't utilize HTML.
Rich Text Resources offer text formatting options, while Plain Text Resources do not.
Once created, you can insert your Text Resource into your communication by clicking on the area where you want to insert it.
You can also change, remove, and detach the resources from the master version as needed.
